Barbara Tekavec

Barbara

Barbara Tekavec has worked more than 30 years as the office administrator for Dr. Katz. Barbara took a summer job before entering Kent State University's School of Nursing and never left for school that fall! Barbara has been an integral part of the office evolution from the one assistant "who did it all" office, to the modern dental office with the latest instrument technology, specialized assistants and computers. Also a native Clevelander, Barbara grew up in Richmond Heights. She is married to Jim, an attorney. In her spare time she loves traveling and pursuing her second career, which is breeding and showing champion American cocker and field spaniels. She is presently involved in writing a history of the breed that was reintroduced to the United States in 1964. Barbara also does rescues of spaniels that are unwanted or neglected and does placements in good homes. Sometimes referred to as the "queen" of the office, Barbara is well known for her friendly disposition and ready smile.

Marian Werfel

Marian

Marian has been a chairside dental assistant for many years, but is a relatively new grandmother. She has really taken to grandparenthood and loves being with her grandson Ryan. She is also interested in old cars, and has restored a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass, that she drives all the time.

Donna Borstein

Donna

Donna graduated from The Ohio State University School of Dental Hygiene and has been a practicing hygienist for many years. She is married to Steve and they have three sons and six grandchildren. Donna too loves being a grandparent, and she also loves to play golf, knit and garden.

Kris Allan

Kris

Kris graduated from Mentor High School and attended the Cleveland Institute of Dental/Medical Assisting. She worked for seven years as a dental assistant and met her husband Andy in the dental office. They have two teenage daughters, Lindsey and Jessica. After being a stay at home mom for fourteen years, she returned to the dental field as our receptionist/dental assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys bowling and watching her daughters play basketball.

Sue Bodlak:

Sue

Sue has been practicing dental hygiene for over 30 years and loves educating and helping patients with learning about dental health. She and her husband build their own house in Auburn Township 11 years ago and live with their two children and a dog. She enjoys arts and crafts, sports, reading , cooking and baking, when she has time.
